CSL Results Support Exploration Potential at Preview SW

Download Report

Comstock Metals Ltd. (TSXV:CSL) reported results from the remaining 5 drill holes completed during the winter program at its Preview SW gold project near La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Most notably, infill Hole PR17-169 intersected a weighted average of 1.01 g/t Au over 104.8m and Hole PR17-170 successfully extending the deposit by 30m to the northeast (Figure 1). The company continues to move forward with planning a summer program at Preview SW, details to be announced soon. We view these results positively, as results highlight the exploration potential at Preview SW. At C$13/oz, Comstock currently trades at a steep discount to peers (C$59/oz). In our view, the market does not account for the exploration upside at either the company’s QV Property or Preview SW gold project. We believe that continued exploration success, including plans for the summer program at Preview SW should be important catalysts for the company. read more

CSL Intersects High Grades at Preview SW

Download Report

Comstock Metals Ltd. (TSXV:CSL) reported initial high-grade results from 3 of 8 drill holes completed during the winter program at its Preview SW gold project near La Ronge, Saskatchewan (Figure 1). Holes PR17-164 to PR17-166 completed at the Preview North zone were drilled to follow-up on intercepts from Hole PR13-163 (April 2013), which intersected high-grades over good widths. Today’s results were highlighted by Hole PR17-166 which included 10.33 g/t Au over 5m. Results from an additional 5 holes are still pending, and the company plans to develop a summer program depending on the remaining results. At C$12/oz, Comstock currently trades at a steep discount to peers (C$53/oz). In our view, the market does not account for the exploration upside at either the company’s QV Property or Preview SW gold project. We believe that the pending results from the winter exploration program from Preview may begin to close the valuation gap to peers.  read more

Drill Results Likely to Expand Comstock's QV Deposit

Download Report

Comstock Metals Ltd. (TSXV:CSL) announced final results from its 2016 drill campaign at its QV gold property in Yukon’s White Gold district. The program consisted of a total of 34 holes spanning ~2.4km and indicates that the QV deposit remains open to the Southwest and Northeast but that further drilling is required at the Shadow and Stewart targets. We view the results positively as they demonstrate the potential for QV to grow beyond the existing resource. We believe that the pending winter exploration program at Comstock’s Preview SW gold project in Saskatchewan is likely to help close the stock’s valuation gap to peers.  read more

Goldcorp Appears Focused on the White Gold District

Download Report

Independence Gold Corp (TSXV:IGO) announced that Goldcorp Inc (TSX:G, NYSE:GG) had acquired 19.9% of Independence by way of private placement. Fresh-off the proposed acquisition of Kaminak Gold Corp (TSXV:KAM), it would appear Goldcorp is making a commitment to the White Gold District, by getting a toehold in ground around Kaminak’s Coffee project. Besides Independence’s Boulevard project, Goldcorp could also be interested in the contiguous Dan Man property (Arcus Development Group - TSXV:ADG) and Bridget, Betty and Wolf properties (Ethos Gold Corp, TSXV:ECC). Also nearby are, the Casino project (Western Copper and Gold Corp, TSX:WRN), QV Gold (Comstock Metals Ltd, TSXV:CSL), and the White Gold Project (Kinross Gold Corp, TSX:K, NYSE:KGC).
