Mr. Williams is the Founder, President and CEO of Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc. Mr. Williams has extensive experience in mining finance and management having previously held the positions of CEO of Victoria Gold Corp., Head of Mining Investment Banking at Blackmont Capital Inc. and a top-ranked mining analyst at TD Bank and other Canadian brokerage firms. Mr. Williams has been a Director of several emerging mining companies and was a founder of Agilith Capital Inc. (a fund) as well as Westwind Capital Inc. (a broker). He also serves as a director of the Denver Gold Group. Mr. Williams holds both a P.Eng in Mining and an MBA from McGill University.
Mr. Gilfillan is a former resource fund portfolio manager at Natcan Investment Management and worked for over 5 years as a buy-side mining analyst at TD Asset Management. Prior to joining the financial sector, he was employed as a consulting engineer, having worked on mining projects around the globe and across the resource company cycle: from exploration to feasibility, construction and operation. Mr. Gilfillan holds a BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is registered Professional Engineer and a CFA charterholder.
Prior to joining Red Cloud, Mr. Thorose spent 12 years as a geologist, advancing exploration projects in Indonesia, Canada and the DRC, followed by 5 years in a Corporate Development role with Victoria Gold Corporation, where he was responsible for identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities in the gold sector. Mr. Thorose holds a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
Mr. Styles has over 10 years of investment banking experience, previously with Clarus Securities and Thomas Weisel Partners (previously Westwind Partners). He has a wide range of M&A advisory and financing transaction experience, originating and working on over 50 M&A mandates and $10 billion in equity and debt capital products. Mr. Styles holds a Bachelor of Economics from Queen's University and Masters in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto.
Mr. Clark joined Red Cloud after working in a family office specializing in junior mining companies. Prior to that he worked in Corporate Development at Carlisle Goldfields until it was acquired by Alamos Gold in the fall of 2015. Before joining Carlisle, he notably worked at Premier Royalty Inc. where he was head of Corporate Development. As an integral part of the team at Premier Royalty, he was responsible for the identification and evaluation of hundreds of royalty and streaming opportunities. Mr. Clark is based in Toronto where he started his career working as a junior mining Research Associate at CIBC World Markets, he went on to become a published mining analyst at two boutique investment dealers in Toronto. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Gallardo has over 20 years of experience in the finance sector. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Del Pacifico University, Lima, Peru and did Special Studies in Finance and Control at Harvard University. He holds a Risk and Compliance certification (CRCMP) from the International Association of Risk and Compliance Professionals, Washington, USA. He was Chieftain Metals’ CFO for six years with experience in streaming, debt and equity transactions as well as IPO, modeling, accounting, budgeting and regulatory matters. Previously, he worked as Senior Credit Risk Manager of Provision, Analytics and Model Development at Scotiabank in Toronto, during which time he was responsible to determine the bank’s required reserves to cover future losses coming from its US$23B international retail lending portfolio. He also worked at CIBC as a corporate analyst assisting the bank’s senior executives.
Mr. Clarke joined Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc. in 2015 after having worked at a Toronto-based boutique corporate finance firm for over 6 years. At his previous firm Mr. Clarke occupied concurrent roles as both Chief Compliance Officer and dealing representative. Mr. Clarke has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at U of T and has completed six of the seven required courses for the Chartered Business Valuator designation.
Mr. MacLean has over 4 years of metals and mining focused capital markets experience. Prior to joining Red Cloud, he spent 3 years in base metals equity research as an Associate with Paradigm Capital Inc. During his undergraduate program, he interned with Sentry Investments and Clarus Securities Inc. within the precious metals portfolio management and investment banking groups. Mr. MacLean holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance & Economics from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.
Mr. Lee has over a 20-year track record in the build-out of mining franchise businesses and generation of mining revenues with leading Broker/Dealers in North America, UK/Europe and Australia. Formerly, Mr. Lee was with RBC Capital Markets where he held the position of Managing Director, specializing in mining sales in the global equity division. During this time he played a key role in the design and delivery of specialist mining sales client advisory products and services with superior “C” level management access to identify and secure domestic and international mining revenue opportunities. Mr. Lee holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics & Geology from Trinity College – University of Toronto.
With a background in Public Relations Marketing and a Canadian Securities Certification,ﾠ Ms. Pillon brings over 12 years of sales, marketing and investor relations experience to the Red Cloud team.ﾠ Ms. Pillon was Director of the BC Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute from 2009-2012 and Manager of Investor Relations and consultant for several publicly traded junior resource companies. At Red Cloud Ms. Pillon has worked on a broad spectrum of initiatives including retail andﾠ institutional ﾠmarketing, equity sales and business development.
Ms. Fedorowicz is an investor relations and communications professional with over 6 years' experience in the mining industry. Having previously led the investor relations programs at Victoria Gold, Continental Gold and London-based Gabriel Resources, she has worked with a diverse range of assets across North America, Europe and Latin America. Ms. Fedorowicz holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Guelph, a finance focused Masters of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Mr. Syme brings over 16 years of experience within Equity Capital Markets to Red Cloud. He honed his expertise while working for several leading independent Broker/Dealers within Canada where mining was the primary focus. The independent model has allowed Mr. Syme to develop substantial experience with public and private equity and debt financing, issuer & institutional investor relations, collaborating with institutional sales, trading and research as well as wealth management advisors. Mr. Syme holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from Ryerson University, with a minor in Finance.
Mr. de Kloet has 7 years of capital markets experience, beginning as an associate with a small mining focused boutique investment firm. When the firm was sold he moved to the issuer side conducting corporate communications for a number of Junior Mining companies including GoldQuest Mining Corp, Horizonte Minerals, and Andiamo Exploration. Mr. de Kloet holds a Specialized Honours Degree in Business Economics from York University's bilingual Glendon College.
Mr. Macpherson is a former mining analyst with multiple boutique investment banks providing him with over 5 years of mining research experience. Prior to entering capital markets, Mr. Macpherson spent six years working as a metallurgist. Mr. Macpherson has a Bachelor of Engineering and Management in materials science and a finance-focused MBA.
Ms. Bernhardsdottir has 7 years of experience working on remote sites and evaluating diverse natural resources and infrastructure projects, including geothermal energy, hydro, oil and gas projects. She holds an Honours Bachelor degree in Natural Resources, Environmental & International Development Studies from Trent University, and an MBA with focus on Infrastructure & Mining from the Schulich School of Business. Ms. Bernhardsdottir also serves on the executive committee of the CIM Management and Economics Society.
Mr. McNeely is a 14 year veteran of the high-tech industry, and has spent most of his career acting as a domestic & international liaison between tech firms and their external partners. He has extensive experience working within the regulatory frameworks for internet privacy, cryptography, access to information, online marketplaces, and equity crowdfunding. Mr. McNeely holds a B.Eng. in Software Engineering from McMaster University, as well as an MBA with focus on the Strategic Management of Technology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Ms. Ellis Hayes joined Red Cloud in August of 2016. On any given day she can be found contributing to efforts all over the firm, including financial analysis of mining opportunities, corporate operations, event coordination, as well as marketing & communications. Ms. Ellis Hayes holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Management Economics & Finance from the University of Guelph.
Lauren has been with Red Cloud for over 4 years; she is responsible for the day-to-day operations and ensures things run smoothly at Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc. She provides administrative support to the team, as well as coordinating special events and annual conferences. She is a graduate from McMaster University where she earned her BA Honours degree in Communications, and a Minor in Earth Sciences and Geography.
